Hello and welcome to the end of May. Also to my subscription week.
We are starting with my Ipsy Glam bag.
This month’s glam bag is all about daydreaming. #ispydaydream
You get a fun ad on this fold out for Glam Bag Plus, which I signed up for and will be reviewing tomorrow.
I love this bag! It’s pink and has like all the glitter in several colors on it. If I was an ipsy bag would be this one.
Here is your list and tips for the products in the bag.
INMO Velveteen Dream Eyeshadow in Super Bass. They have included this brand in these bags before and I have had no issues with it so I was happy to see it in the bag. This eyeshadow is called the Velveteen Dream so of course, that got my attention. The name holds up cause it is super creamy. It goes on easy and is buildable so you can layer it up. The shade Super Bass is a stunning light rose gold that is packed full of shimmer. I have been using it as a base then building up with it and it’s just stunning. I dig it and would buy it again.
This one goes for $9 and comes in 10 shades all name after female artists which I dig cause this one reminded me of the Nicki Minaj’s song and that’s what it’s named after.
Laboratoires Fligora time-Filler Absolute Correction Wrinkle Cream. This is a brand I haven’t heard of before so I was excited to try it. I have used it a couple days. It’s a thick cream gel that is easy to apply. It does leave my skin soft. I actually thought this was a primer for some reason and was using it for that and it kinda works. I like it but I don’t think I would buy it again since it didn’t do anything different than what other products I’m currently using.
This one goes for $89 for 1.69oz.
Alterna Haircare Bond Repair Leave-In Heat Protection Spray. I have tried this brand before in one of these bags and it was ok. I’m always up for a leave in conditioner. I will tell you now I got this same item in my Sephora box too. Anyways I washed my hair and applied a ton of this stuff to my hair like I do with these kinds of things. I brushed my hair and went to sleep, I don’t know if it’s cause I didn’t braid my hair or what but my hair was kinda stiff but has some volume to it. This stuff didn’t make my hair soft it just stiffen it up so that it didn’t tangle. I tried it again a few days later and used less. My hair still had that same feeling to it but not as bad. Definitely more manageable. The smell is a little strange but not completely off-putting. However, I wouldn’t buy this again it just didn’t work the way I like my leave-in conditioner too.
A 4.z oz bottle of this goes for $32. Since the brand site only links it to the retailer I included the Sephora link cause I’m just copying and pasting this review to that post.
Buxom Cosmetics Full-On Plumping Lip Polish in Clair. I have tried several things from Buxom and they have all been great, so I was excited about this. Plus I love lip products. This is a glitter gloss lip plumper. It goes on with easy and it’s not sticky which is a huge plus. Almost immediately after you apply this you feel it start tingling. A couple minutes later you start seeing the slight plump to your lips. It’s not intense plumper like some are and there is a little tint to it so that you can wear it alone. I really dig it and would buy it again.
Full size of this is $21.
Pixi by Perta Endless Silky Eye Pen in CopperGlow. This is a brand I keep meaning to invest more in. I have gotten random things over the years and have loved them. This is the first eyeliner I have tried and it’s wonderful. It’s easy to use and goes on smooth. I have been able to use it as a liner and also as an eyeshadow. You can use a brush to blend it in and it looks lovely. I will definitely be buying more into this brand.
These go for $12, which is great for how well the product works
I’m really happy with this bag. I didn’t get any terrible products and I’m super happy about it. If you do the reviews on the site they really pay off after a while and you stop getting shit.
What did you all get?!?
If you don’t get an Ipsy bag I have provided a link below.
